Responsible for identifying and developing opportunities in emerging technology programs for industrial gas turbine engines. Identify and develop new applications for Rolls-Royce gas turbines for power generation, combined heat and power, and marine applications, using natural gas, distillates, biomass, coal-derived fuels, and fuel cells. Earlier served as Program manager for the DOE Advanced Turbine Systems program. Previous experience included Executive Director, Environmental Programs at Public Service Indiana (Cinergy), an electric utility, with responsibility for managing the development and implementation of corporate environmental policy. Prior to that, held various middle management positions at General Electric Company in advanced engineering, business and strategic planning, product support, product planning, and market research. Product line experience included aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines. Member Technical Affairs Committee, Gas Turbine Association. Member, Secretary of Energy's Advisory Council. Member DoD/DOE Fuel Cell Hybrids Steering Committee. Member, American Society of Mechanical Engineers and 3 technical committees of ASME/IGTI. Industry Review Board member of Advanced Gas Turbine Systems Research. Member Fuel Cell Power Association, Member, Distributed Power Coalition of America. Member, PowerGen International Planning Committee, Member, Air and Waste Management Association. Associate Fellow, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Registered Professional Engineer, States of Indiana and Ohio. B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University, and Ph.D in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. Published over 30 papers and publications on energy, environment, advanced cycles | |
