Graduated from the Heat Power faculty of the Kyiv Polytechnical Institute (1977), in 1986 he obtained Ph.D degree. Since 1977 till the present time he has been working at the NTUU KPI.

A field of scientific interests is the working process of burner devices of fire engineering objects, heat power engineering, and gas turbine manufacture.

For a long time he has been engaged in experimental research of gas dynamics and mixing under conditions of high-temperature reacting systems.

Recently he is engaged in the development of the high efficient and ecologically safe technology of combustion of organic fuel on the basis of controllable aerodynamic structure of flow for low cost modernization of fire engineering objects.

He is an author and co-author of more than 40 publications and 3 patents.

Since 2001 he is a person working for doctor's degree of the NTUU KPI.
